Jacqueline Came to Stay

ANOTHER visit from my sis. I feel just entirely too spoiled for words! I love my sister so much. She is such a remarkable woman. I don't know anyone like her. She is so unique. She has a great mixture of laughter and grit. She ALWAYS remembers to say something nice to make you feel good. She does not just think about it (like I often do). She has worked her tail off making a life for herself and her children. Our children have grown up together and we have shared so much fun and crazy times. We have cried tears of both happiness and sadness together. She holds her own in this world with its many challenges. She has created much out of nothing and she is a great example of what it means to live life to its fullest. She is a vibrant and sensual woman who has an enthusiasm that is infectious and moves all those who are part of her life. We have spent our life moving around this world together and apart. So when she came down to visit me in Florida, it was just nice to be together. There is a comfort when she is around. There is a knowledge of her unconditional love for me. I admire her so much. I am honored to call her my friend and blessed to call her sister.

So when she came down we hung out mostly. But we did take some time to ourselves to go and see Mama Mia. Oh, my goodness. It was sooooo funny. We were both singing out loud by the end of the movie. So appropriate. A great movie to go and see with a sister... any kind of sister. We also took some time to go kayaking. Jacqueline absolutely loved it. We kayaked over a inter-coastal waterway called Indian River Lagoon. We paddled over to an island and just sat and talked. It was very peaceful. Just what we needed. The weather turned bad while we were sitting there so we had to paddle back a little early. Once we were back on shore we went on to a bar called The Wet Spot, and played a little pool. Jacqueline beat me 2 to 1... she has gotten really good at pool!

The kids of course LOVED having their auntie around. Jacqueline is so good with them both. They happily played together. We should have taken more pictures and videos but we were relaxing and having too much fun to be thinking about it. We can't wait to see her again. We are going up to visit her for Thanksgiving, when my mum comes over. So we are all looking forward to that. Check out the videos of us kayaking (use the link in the third column).
