Miss Dahlia

She is cute as a button. She already exhibits some famous female traits. She is in touch with everything and everyone around her. She knows where Sawyer is and what he is doing and how he is feeling at all times. She checks out dad on a frequent basis, to see if he is okay. She checks in with mum from time to time to get her needs met. Dahlia is very independent. She likes her own space. She loves to play and get her cuddles but she is also perfectly okay with her own company. She is very healthy and happy. She is strong and the leader. She does almost everything before her brother! Much to dad's dismay as he thinks Sawyer should be the leader (hehe).

Dahlia is so funny. She notices if there is anything new in her environment. So you cannot put anything down. Like take this morning for example... last night we watched a movie so all the kids toys just remained strewn all over the house. So Dahlia gets up and comes into the family room and surveys the landscape. Within one second she notices that there is something on the floor that shouldn't be there. Something that she usually does not get to play with. It is nothing exciting. It is only my headband. But for those of you that have toddlers you will know that you don't leave anything out that is breakable or anything that you would like to keep for later use. So she goes straight for the one thing that is different. She is SO quick and observant.

In this picture, Petals (dad's name for Dahlia) is making comfy. She loves to fall into feather pillows. She has recently come to like a dummy (binky). She does not get it outside her bed normally. But she is sneaky and she reaches inside the rails of her cot (crib) and pulls on the blanket until the dummy is in reach. So here she is happily chillin for as long as her brother will let her (as Sawyer is always smacking on her)! By the way, she set up the pillows and everything by herself. This is the way I found her!

Our Little Miss is the light of our life. She will be a great, strong lady. She is incredibly dynamic and will be a positive force in life and a great asset to all. We are so blessed to have Dahlia in our family.
